撮影会: 愛野美奈子

Hi everyone!

Lately I'm so spontaneous it scares me Σ(゚_゚;)
It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon when I decided that I wanted my own Sailor Moon costume. NAO.

"Minako?? Why Minako?!?"
- Was the first thing Feder asked when I told her about my plan. The answer was simple: No money = No wig. Actually I was quite suprised by my own decision. I always thought that if I ever did a Sailor Moon costume, it would be Makoto/Jupiter. But with the wigs in my possession atm, the only characters I could do would be either Minako or Michiru. Michiru wears a lot of beautiful dresses throughout the series and is very ladylike, but I don't really like her character. Minako on the other hand is girlish, cute and energetic. She's soo much younger than I am (14??), but I can relate to her in many ways, so I chose her.

Next question: Which outfit?
So I showed Feder two possible costumes. The first was a white dress I've seen in one of the artbooks, the second was Minako's school uniform. Feder voted for the first one, saying that long dresses suit me better. That same evening I asked Maddi, who voted for the latter, because she thought the white dress was too plain (read: boring). Then, to get to a final decision, I asked my sister which dress she liked. She just said: "Neither. Why don't you do the maid version?" And I was just like "OMG, I LOVE YOU!" イイ━━(σ+ФωФ)σ━━ネッ♪
The idea came up on Wednesday, the decision was made on Thursday. On Friday I went shopping and on Sunday everything was done.

The Shoot
I wanted to take some pictures of Maddi's beautiful Princess White Rose costume and asked her to take some of my Minako costume in return. We did our shoot on April 22nd and had a great time despite the changeable weather. The pictures I took of Maddi came out great (she's so pretty!!) and I really like the pictures she took of me. But then when we were almost done I realised that I had forgotten my hairband at home!! Nooooo! A maid without hairband? Σヾ(o・`д・o)ノ゙))ァリェナィ
So I
begged asked my sister for a second shoot. Surprisingly she agreed and I got my second shoot on May 2nd. The location wasn't as nice as the first one, but the weather was lovely and there were hardly any people around.
PS: All the cakes you can see on the pictures were kinldy donated by my sister (who is a confectioner). All of them were very tasty ♥
(BTW: You can see the pictures I took of Maddi at Animexx. Please have a look at it, feedback is always welcome!)

The costume

Minako Aino - Maid Café Ver. (Sailor Moon Sailor Stars)

Minako's wearing this costume in one episode towards the end of the series when they're having a school festival at Usagi's school.
The dress pattern is quite simple, so it was easy to sew. I had some difficulties with the apron, however because of the bow-shaped edges. Every normal person would have just sewed ruffles seeing as this is what they are supposed to be anyway. But apparently I am a hopeless masochist so I decided to sew bow-shaped ruffles. I am happy with how they came out though.
I also like the red hair bow and the hair band. I think I discovered some hidden maid fetish. After all, this is my second maid costume.

今回はカメコ役♪ ヾ(*>ω<)ノ

Guess what? It's spring! <3333 But the following entry is not about the lovely weather, but about some wonderful photoshoots with teh bestest sista in za warudo XD My sister and I decided to buy a new camera for Christmas, because our old one hasn't been quite the same ever since I've dropped it in Japan (-ω-:) We decided on a DSLR, namely Canon EOS 1000D (EOS Digital Rebel XS in the US / EOS Kiss F in Japan). It's an entry-level SLR, but it's the only one we could afford and we're just amateurs after all (-´ω`-) Anyways, I love our new camera to pieces! I still can't handle it properly, because it's my first time using a SLR - so I decided to practise and do some cosplay photoshoots. This entry features three photoshoots with my sister, two of which were done in February, so don't be surprised by all the snow (-∀-*)

 Urahara Kisuke (BLEACH)

We had this photoshoot in February, when it finally had begun to snow. It was a rather spontaneous decision to do the photoshoot and it was already sunset. Thus, the pictures didn't came out as good as I wanted, but regarding the fact that it was my first time using a SLR I'm satisfied with the outcome.
My sister was wearing her Urahara Taichou costume, which she had originally sewn for Bookfair Leipzig last year. I think she makes a great Kisuke. She'd make a handsome Shinigami *。.(('艸'〃))。.*

Myoubi (ALICHINO)

These pictures were taken the day after we did the Kisuke shoot. While at the first shoot I was the one shivering, this time around it was my sister who was shaking. Well, it might be my fault because I told her to lay down in the snow... (I'm so sorryyyyy !! (;o;) )
The dress she's wearing is my Myoubi costume from 2006. Actually, it's a nightgown... シ―(-ω-;)―ン
My sister always claims that female characters do not suit her, all the more she was surprised when she saw the pictures. And so was I. (I can remember yelling at her: "At least TRY to look like a girl!" through the snow)
She looks just like a doll! (*≧з≦)カッ(*≧д≦)ワッ(*≧皿≦)bイイ♪

Ronald Weasley (Harry Potter)

This weekend we did another photoshoot. Honestly speaking, this was the shoot we both have been looking forward to the most. Why? Because my sister is Ron Weasley. No, honestly, I swear J.K. Rowling was thinking of her when she wrote the books (((o≧▽≦)ノ彡
We had a great time goofing around and taking pictures. My sister kept running around, jumping from benches and grimacing. Thus, this gallery not only featrures Ordinary Ron, but also Emo Ron, Super Ron, and Ron Ron (≧∇≦)ノ彡 バンバン!
Some more preview pictures this time, because I couldn't decide which one to pick ↓

イベントレポ: ブックフェアー

Hello again.
Lately it's finally getting a bit warmer. I like winter, but still I'm looking forward to some sunny spring days.

The weekend was quite cold and rainy, though. Luckily, Bookfair Leipzig is an indoor event.

The convention

As expected, this year's bookfair was even more crowded than last year's. As expected, the organisers still haven't taken any measurements to prevent people (read: cosplayers) from taking giant props (wings, swords, clubs, staffs, spiked maces...) into the crowded halls. You'd think people had enough common sense not carry around bulky and potentially dangerous objects at a place like that. But apparently they don't. ((*¬д¬))
As a result, I decided to stay away from the most crowded places and spent most of the day at the CCL, where all the cosplayers meet up. I had a great time talking, taking pictures and just being silly with my sister and some friends. I also met a lot aof people I haven't met in ages, which made me very happy (ノ⌒▽)ノわぁい♪
I spent most of the time taking pictures of Maddi, who was a stunningly beautiful Princess White Rose and trying to take photos of my sister, who wore my other Sheryl costume.
I wore a new Sheryl costume which I had been diing to sew ever since I first saw it.

The costume

Sheryl Nome - Tour Poster Ver. (Macross Frontier)

Out of all costumes Sheryl wears throughout the series I love this one the most. However, there's no other picture of it than the one on the left, so I could decide on the design of the bottom part myself. I decided on a short but fluffy circle ruffled skirt because I thought it would match the cute but sexy design of the bodice/vest. The bodice, btw, is fully lined (as you can see on this WIP shot, so it took me ages to complete, but now I'm quite pleased with the result. I also (finally) had my first attempt on Sheryl's earrings. I'm not yet content with how they came out at all, but this is close as it can get regarding my poor jewellery crafting skills ( ̄∇ ̄;) ハッハッハッ
This will definitely not be my last Sheryl costume ♥
